Fully upholstered means the velvet continues over the frame as well as the headboard, so there is no change of material partway down. The bed reads as a single soft mass, which is what makes an upholstered frame look considered rather than assembled. The headboard stands 43.5" with a 23.7" panel where you lean.
Wooden slats carry the mattress directly, so no box spring is needed and air moves underneath a foam mattress that would otherwise hold heat. Recommended mattress thickness is 8-14", and the frame carries 1000 lb.

Soft all the way down
The upholstery continues past the headboard and over the frame, so there is no change of material partway down. It is the difference between a bed that reads as one piece and one that reads as parts bolted together.
Slats, not a box spring
Wooden slats support the mattress across the frame, which keeps the sleeping height low and lets air move underneath. Foam mattresses in particular run cooler on slats than on a solid base.

Vacuum the fabric with a brush attachment, and spot clean marks with a barely damp cloth working from the outside of the mark inwards. Let it dry fully before remaking the bed.
