Scala | Metal Towel Rack with Shelf Staggered Bar Bathroom Drying Stand
$115.00

- A 5.1" shelf on top for spares and the things with nowhere to go
- 37.6" tall, 7 lb — steady when loaded, easy to move
Secure Checkout & Trusted Payments
The bars are staggered rather than set in a single plane, so a towel on one is not pressed flat against the towel behind it. That gap is what lets air move over both faces of the fabric, which is the whole reason a drying rack beats a hook.
The shelf across the top adds the surface a bathroom always turns out to need: folded spares, a basket, or the things that otherwise end up balanced on the edge of the bath.
It stands 37.6" tall on a 15.7" by 10.8" footprint and weighs 7 lb, so it is steady when loaded and still easy to move. Metal throughout, so it wipes clean — which matters in a humid room, where anything porous eventually shows it.
- Size: 37.6" H x 15.7" W x 10.8" D (95.5 x 40 x 27.5 cm)
- Shelf: 5.1" (13 cm) deep, across the top
- Lower rail: 22.8" (58 cm) from the floor
- Weight: 7 lb (3.2 kg)
- Material: metal, freestanding
- Best for: bathrooms, laundry rooms, guest baths

Why staggered
Bars set in a single plane press towels together, and the inside faces stay damp. Setting them at different depths leaves a gap, and a gap is what drying actually needs.
The shelf
Every bathroom runs out of surface. One shelf takes the folded spares and the basket that had been living on the edge of the bath.
Metal in a wet room
Humidity is hard on anything porous. Metal takes it, wipes down in seconds, and holds its shape under a full load of wet towels.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many towels will it take?
Enough for a household bathroom, one towel per bar. Piling two onto the same bar defeats the staggering — the whole point is that each towel has air on both faces.
Will towels actually dry faster on it?
Better than on a hook or a single rail, because staggered bars stop the fabric pressing against itself. How fast still depends on the room — a bathroom with a window or an extractor beats one without.
How do I clean it?
A damp cloth and a dry-off. What marks metal in a bathroom is water left standing on it, so drying the bars now and then does more than any cleaner will.
